Truth Over Tyranny.2: Biblical wisdom for defeating the Technocrats.
These are my insights for defeating the Transhumanist Technocracy movement, based on the teachings of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik (the Rav,) of blessed memory, on the weekly Bible portion.
Since the global elites perpetrated the Covid scam in 2020, the world has endured a level of cruelty many of us could not imagine was possible. Their depopulation crusade is particularly heinous:
... they are distributing “vaccines” that cause fatal illness and instant death;
… they are starting endless wars to cause mass carnage and genocide;
… they are promoting “compassionate health policies” such as euthanasia for the infirm and depressed;
… and they advocate for mass sterilization and abortion on demand.
For sure, they have been perpetrating these evil deeds for decades, if not longer; but I think it is in recent years that their ulterior motive for depopulation has come to light: global slavery. They want to “cull the herd” into a more manageable number. Then, through biotechnology, digital surveillance, centralized banking, and mass programming, direct and control the evolution of our species.
The transhumanist technocrat dream is indeed our nightmare. It is no wonder that many of us feel we are fighting Satan himself. Fortunately, we our fortified for this battle with inspiration and insight from the Hebrew Bible. In his commentary on Parashat Vayeshev, the Rav tells how the Jews had to confront ruthless tyranny when we were captives in ancient Egypt. As it turned out, our enslavement was actually a preparation for living in a better world!
It started with the sale of Joseph to the Egyptian official Potipohar (this eventually led to all of his clan coming to this country, led by his father Jacob.) The Torah tells us:
“Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt.” Bereshit 39.1.
The Rav explains that the Jewish people suffered greatly as slaves. But had we not experienced such cruelty first-hand, we would not have developed the hatred for tyranny that is necessary for truly appreciating freedom!
“Joseph was sold to Potiphar, the chief executioner, in order to acquaint him with human cruelty. In the same vein, Knesses Yisrael had to spend years in slavery in order to attain nationhood and greatness. Only in Egypt could the Jews become a great nation, a goy gadol. The Jews had to see and experience evil, tyranny, ruthlessness — for one cannot hate Satan unless one knows him well and has dealt with him. To hear stories about Satan is not enough; direct experience and involvement are indispensable.. Had Jacob remained in Canaan, his children and future generations would not have developed extra sensitivity for fairness and honesty. We would have not hated cruelty and ruthlessness with the same passion and zeal. Had we not spent years of horror, we could not have grown and developed into a great nation. In pain and despair we have attained greatness and nationhood. ‘Like the rose among thorns, so is my beloved among the maidens.’ (Song of Songs 2.2)” Chumash HaRav, Vol Bereshit, p 291.
I would add this:
None of this is to say that slavery is a good thing. No one should should suffer. Cruelty is horrible. Tyranny has to be defeated. Satan must be banished from this world.
But throughout our many trials and tribulations — starting with our slavery in Egypt — the Jewish people have learned that if we persevere in the battle against evil, we will emerge treasuring what is good and proper for this world.
