How many times have you faced a tough situation, and said to yourself, “I’ll get through this.” That’s a good attitude. It shows strength and determination.
However, I think for some people, it shows a certain passivity. When they say “I’ll get through this,” they mean they will tolerate the pain and anguish, and hope they last through it. They take a passive position. Maybe their body will get through it, but their mind will be elsewhere, hoping and praying for the end.
There’s a better way.
To get through it, you have to go through it. You have to engage all of yourself in the situation. Give it all you’ve got. Face the problem right in the eye. Take it all in – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Then cut it down into bite-size pieces.
You basically say, “I’ve got this.”
Not only will you get “through it” faster, but at the end of the day you will come out on top.
And that’s the way it should be. https://youtu.be/jzNn9TrNeSY
